Reflecting a national movement aimed at fostering primary care providers, the UT Health Science Center San Antonio has a new grassroots organization called Primary Care Progress. The organization is comprised mostly of students, strongly supported by faculty involvement, that works to promote the primary-care aspects of health care delivery.
To raise awareness of the national movement and the work going on at the UT Health Science Center in this vein, Primary Care Progress is holding Primary Care Week March 19 - 23. Town hall and exhibition On Wednesday, March 21, Primary Care Week activities will include a Town Hall meeting, exhibition and poster session, with special focus placed on a keynote address by James L. Holly, M.D., at 3 p.m. in the Pestana Lecture Hall (3.104AB). A facilitated discussion and reception will follow Dr. Holly's address.
